D.K. Pattammal played safe with her voice which was not in good shape but her singing was marked by classicism and methodicity. Her Anandha Bhairavi was superb and the kriti Thyagaraja Yoga Vaibhavam was sung with excellence.

Her ace daughter-in-law had to struggle with a compromise sruthi but kept good company. Mohanam was yet another piece that impressed.

Meera Narayanan was alert on the violin but she must stick to one style, either to Lalgudi or M.S. Gopalakrishnan. A mixture does not click. Ramaiah and Krishnamurthy did a neat job of their percussion assignments.
